I have spend the last several years evolving the way I think and feel about food and fitness. I work out 5-6 days a week and do my best to eat healthy. I have recently uncovered some food intolerances that have really changed the way I approach eating and meal planning. I do not eat dairy products, sugar, bananas, pineapple, tuna and limit my coffee and soy intake. It is difficult to find food that doesn't include these things. I prepare almost all the food that I eat. This takes a lot of time and I would say I have become obsessed. In looking at other blogs, I see that others are obsessed as well!!
Another obsession of mine is exercise! I get up every morning around 5:30 and either head out the door for a run, or walk across the hall to our "home gym" where I do an exercise video (Cathe Frederich is my hero!), lift weights or ride my bike on a bike trainer (my own personal spin class). My husband practices mixed martial arts and also runs. We are always looking for new challenges. My husband is planning an amateur fight this summer or fall and we are going to China in May to run the Great Wall half marathon.
Another obsession is our pets - Opal and Wookie, our dogs and Gus and Diasy, our cats, are seriously the center of our lives. I am always wondering where they are, what are they doing? I could not love them more and enjoy every second I get to spend with them.
The last obsession I am willing to share right now is my husband. I am truly blessed to have the best husband for me. He tolerates all my ridiculousness and loves me no matter what.
This blog will allow me to share my obsessions and ridiculousness with THE WORLD. So get ready...
